To provide our Services, we collect information you voluntarily provide during registration and while using the application.

• Account Information: Full Name, Email Address, Password (encrypted, never stored in plain text)
• Farm Information: Farm Name, Livestock Species, Primary Enterprise
• Livestock Information: identification, species, breed, sex, DOB, parentage, health, treatments, vaccinations, breeding, births, mortality, weights, notes, photos, documents
• Location Information: location is opt-in only and used for weather, and GPS location of livestock for safeguarding against theft and to show proof of ownership
• Email Verification: to confirm account ownership and secure your account

• Provide customer support and respond to technical issues
• Improve performance, security and develop new features
• Comply with legal obligations where applicable

Information is securely stored using trusted cloud providers, including secure database hosting, Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) for photos and documents, and Google services for authentication, analytics or performance monitoring where applicable. Data may be stored on servers outside your country of residence.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.

Your livestock records belong to you. OneHerd does not claim ownership of your farm data, livestock records, photographs or documents. You grant us permission to store, process, back up and display your data solely to provide the Services.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We may share information only when required by law, to comply with legal obligations, to protect the rights or safety of OneHerd or its users, or with trusted service providers under confidentiality obligations.

As part of our commitment to farm biosecurity and the One Health initiative, OneHerd provides a digital visitor log service. On behalf of farm owners, we collect the name, organization, reason for visit, contact information, and approximate GPS location of visitors who sign in via the on-farm QR code.

This data is used solely for disease tracking, contact tracing, and farm security purposes. It is stored securely, isolated per farm, and only accessible by the authorized farm owner and their designated staff. Farm owners have the ability to delete visitor logs at any time. By signing in at a farm gate, visitors acknowledge and consent to this data collection for biosecurity purposes.

OneHerd uses Google Firebase for analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting. These tools collect information such as device type, operating system, app performance metrics, anonymous usage data and crash logs solely to improve the quality, reliability, stability and performance of the platform.

We may send emails relating to verification, account security, password resets, service announcements and Policy changes. Email alerts for farm activities are also opt-in, and are used to ensure you're aware of all that is happening on the farm. We do not send advertising or marketing emails without your consent.

OneHerd is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
